CHICAGO — The Chicago Bears are hoping to usher in a new level of excitement with a new head coach and general manager. But they'll also charge season-ticket holders more to attend games this season. The Bears announced a 6 percent hike in season-ticket prices on Monday. The packages will, however, include an extra games as NFC teams will play nine home games this season before the extra home game shifts to the AFC next year. The season-ticket plan also includes a preseason game, meaning that Bears fans will have 10 chances to get to Soldier Field this year, albeit at a higher cost. "A new era of Chicago Bears football is here under the leadership of general manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus and preparations are underway for an exciting 2022 season," an email sent to season-tickets holders said. The email also thanked fans for their passion and loyalty before announcing the jump in price, which accounts for the extra regular-season home game in place of a preseason game. The Bears host games against the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders and San Francisco 49ers this season.
