BEVERLY HILLS, CA — The Beverly Hills Police Department will increase the amount of patrol officers Sunday in anticipation of Super Bowl LVI watch parties. Officers will look for drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs, public information officer Lt. Giovanni Trejo said in a news release. Residents should use a ride-share service or designate a sober driver, the Trejo said. "If you plan to have a drink or two, choose a sober way to get to and from wherever you are watching the game," chief Mark G. Stainbrook said in a news release. "Have a ride-hailing service or a family member who hasn't been drinking take you home." The increased patrol is made possible by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, Trejo said.
