TUCSON, AZ — The Tucson Unified School District started handing out Grab-and-Go meals to children 18 and under on Monday. Officials are giving out meals amid school closures during the new coronavirus outbreak. Buses are traveling the normal 12 bus routes, stopping at 113 locations throughout the district Monday through Friday. Routes are going from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., stopping at each stop for 10 minutes. Times may vary depending on weather. One breakfast and one lunch will be given to children, but they must be present to receive a meal. There are no requirements. Any kids can get meals; there are no requirements. See the Grab-and-Go meal routes here. Officials remind people picking up meals to keep social distancing, maintaining six feet between other people while at bus stops receiving meals. See the school district's press release.
