FULTON COUNTY, GA — The Fulton County Schools District said it will slowly decrease its COVID-19 mitigation protocols this week as cases continue to decline. "...The district will remain vigilant while moving ahead," said the school district in a letter to families. Face-to-face instruction will remain the top priority, the district wrote, as long as there are enough staff to operate Fulton County schools. To mitigate the current spread of COVID-19, all schools will follow the items below for the week of February 7-11: Visitors at all schools will remain limited. Non-essential gatherings of staff and students are permitted. Other items of note: Fulton County Schools continues to conduct contact tracing on positive cases only. Mask wearing based on exposure is recommended. After school care and extended learning will continue. Staff waiting for a COVID-19 test result can report to work wearing a mask if they are asymptomatic. Essential academic field trips are permitted. Third party facility rentals are permitted.
