HARDSCAPE FOREMAN For immediate hire for full-time year-round employment: Our hardscape division is seeking a qualified individual to perform the duties of HARDSCAPE FOREMAN. The hardscape foreman is responsible for overseeing all on-site aspects of hardscape and landscape construction. The hardscape foreman is an experienced employee in construction, basic electricity, basic plumbing, and works with minimal supervision. This position directs the activities of a team of two or more in the construction of paver patios, retaining walls, and associated landscapes. Most of our work is done in Freeport, Yarmouth, Cumberland, Falmouth, Portland, Brunswick, and Topsham. We strive for the highest quality in our finished products. Our services include hardscaping, excavation, garden maintenance, and landscape design. Job Duties: -Minimum of 2 years prior hardscape foreman level experience -Ability to be the MAIN lead on hardscape projects from start to finish -Ability to operate excavators, dump trucks, and loaders - Execution of proper installation procedures for paver patios and retaining walls using varying products and materials - Reading and understanding designs and schematics of projects - Understanding elevations and dimensions and using this knowledge to implement the construction designs - The ability to work within the scope of estimates for projects and to establish daily goals with your crew to meet or beat project estimates - Plans and organizes the job, ensuring that sufficient resources and materials are always available - Supervises and is responsible for employee performance and conduct while maintaining jobsite professionalism and safety - Routinely interacts with clients by way of introductions at the beginning of a job, answering questions, responding to client’s requests, making reasonable changes to the plan, and providing a walk-through at the job’s completion - Completes the necessary paperwork including timesheets, work orders, change orders, material receipts, and crew member activities and performance - Reports at the end of the day to the owner on job status, personnel issues, or client concerns - Able to perform other duties outside of the listed job duties and qualifications -Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a regular basis Basic Qualifications: - Must be 18 years of age or older - Must have a clean, valid Driver’s License* - Must have a cellular phone - Must have your own reliable transportation to and from work - Must be able to drive truck and trailer combos - Must be able to work in all seasons and varying weather conditions Additional Qualifications: - Experience in managing or training other employees - Must be able to lift between 5lbs.–100lbs. regularly - Know how to safely handle weights heavier than 100lbs. - Knowledge of material types and measurements - Willingness to receive additional training or classes as needed - General knowledge of outdoor plumbing, electric, and low-voltage lighting installation - Currently holds a CDL Class ‘A’ a plus but not required When applying, please specify “HARDSCAPE FOREMAN.” All applicants for this position will be screened using the above qualifications before being considered for a formal interview or testing.
