You will be in the truck by yourself - but will have our Dispatcher guiding you over a smart-phone. This is a very meaningful & personally-gratifying position - helping our customers who appreciate our unique valued-service! Job Title: Driver of Roll-Off Dumpsters, with a smaller, residential-friendly, single-axle truck Note: You do NOT need a CDL to drive for us! We will train. If you can drive a large pick-up Truck, then you can drive our trucks. Many of our drivers never possessed a CDL before; and they do very well! First 30 Calendar day "Evaluation Period" paid at $14.50/hour, after which pay-rate increases to $17.50/hr. 401K eligibility (after 1 year). Job Description: Delivery and pick up 6 - 20 yard roll off dumpsters for construction /household debris. Terms of Employment: 32-35 hrs per week. 4 week rotating schedule: (Mon/Tue/Wed...then next month Thur/Fri/Sat, etc.). Seasonal, Temp/Part-time: This means, expect layoff Dec, Jan and Feb, then return to work in March 1st Anticipated Start Date: Feb 22 - Mar 15 Licensing/Certification: No CDL needed. Requires a Current commercial DOT driver's medical card; if you don't have one, you will need to get one (cost about $80) See this video: Travel: Company truck is provided Qualifications: • Must be at least 25 years of age or older, with Clean driving record • Professional attitude and appearance a must • Must be able to speak, read, and write English well enough to represent company in a professional manner, understand highway traffic and signals, respond to official questions, and be able to make legible entries on reports and records • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position • Some commercial vehicle operation experience preferable, but not required. • Must have good understanding of local area and neighborhoods *** On-boarding Requires Criminal History Background check; MVR record screening also performed Must be able to pass 12-panel drug screening Specific Skills: Operate and drive lift trucks to transport trash, Tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo, Utilize electronic trip planning aids, receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Monitor vehicle performance and overall fitness and report same to Dispatcher. Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service. Experience in construction industry is an asset. Preferred: Prefer candidates who have familiarity with smart-phones. 401K (after 1 year).
