We are hiring Class A CDL truck drivers with a minimum of 2 years experience [preferred] **SIGN ON BONUS** Heavy haul container experience preferred. We are a locally owned company based in Vancouver, WA., Established in 1997. We provide late model equipment and are looking for long term drivers that desire a permanent driving job, paid by the hour including overtime weekly, with a rich benefit package. Our drivers are responsible for the movement of containerized freight as well as dry vans in and out of various ports and to and from customer locations. We operate primarily in Washington and Oregon. Our drivers work Monday-Friday and are HOME NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS!! There may be a rare overnight with paid per-diem or an occasional weekend shift. No Touch Freight! Driver Duties: Perform all duties of a commercial licensed driver in a professional manner. Safely drive the truck and perform essential functions. Be on time and ready to go daily. Perform daily pre/post trip vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure safe operation. Keep the vehicle clean inside. Good understanding of bridge law and how to weigh the truck and understand weight limits. Able to perform minor / basic repairs ie: replace burnt out bulbs etc. Complete daily E-logs and prepare other paperwork as necessary. Pickup and/or deliver loads between the ports and the customers. Enhance company image and rapport with customers and the public. Be a team player that demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Clean driving record and valid Class A CDL license. 13 speed manual experience required. Knowledge of E-logs preferred. Excellent driving skills. Local knowledge of area roads and ability to operate/use GPS. Basic mechanical knowledge and/or troubleshooting skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate a positive work attitude towards both internal and external customers and fellow co-workers. Self directed with strong time management skills. On time to your appointments. Ability to push/pull/lift or carry min. 75 pounds MUST HAVE CURRENT MEDICAL CARD MUST HAVE VALID "TWIC" CARD (Transportation worker ID Card) or the ability to obtain one in 30 days. Provide a copy of CLEAN MVR 5 years (personal and commercial) Compensation: Hourly, with OT after 40 hrs. Overtime every week! 100% paid Medical/Dental/Vision plan.
