Porter for Summer Camp & Retreat Center Camp Solomon Schechter in Tumwater is looking for a reliable, organized, self-motivated person to join our team as Porter and Lead Kitchen Utility. This position requires attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to lift 50# multiple times per day. You will receive large orders of food service supplies and will be expected to store them properly in dry storage, walk-in freezer, or walk-in refrigerator, both in the kitchen and in a remote storage area. You’ll need to pass a basic background check, as well as have a clean driving record and, of course, a driver’s license. This position will also include filling the lead kitchen utility role. You will help train and help supervise entry-level utility staff. Your hours will be split between porter and utility. This is a daytime position and is seasonal at this time. The position will begin in mid-May through, at least, late August, possibly into October depending on volume. There is a possibility of off-season work in the maintenance & housekeeping department.
