TUCSON, AZ — An internet scam involving gifts for police officers is making the rounds in Tucson, according to the city's police chief. Tucson Police Chief Chris Magnus tweeted his warning Tuesday, telling Tucson residents to be wary of "fraudsters" on social media who claim they will send a gift box to Tucson police officers if people send them money. "There are fraudsters on Facebook & other social media sites that advertise if you send them $$$, they will send a "gift box" to TPD (and probably other) officers to 'appreciate them,'" Magnus tweeted.
