Description
This job is to run a skidgine (skidder with a water tank) on forest fires in the summer. The skidder has the hydraulic grapple arm removed and has a water tank in its place. It still has a blade on it which is why I posted for a dozer/skidsteer operator. The job is mostly providing water support to crews, being a patrol vehicle, and cutting firebreaks with the skidder blade. You don't need to be local but you would need to have your summer open because you will likely be gone for 3-4 months. 2 weeks on 2 days off so you could come back for 2 days at a time if you wanted to. Taking a week off wouldn't be a problem. Food and water is provided on fires and you would likely stay in a tent at the fire camp with everyone else so there would be minimal expenses for you for the whole summer. Expected income for the summer is estimated to be at least 60 grand but is dependent on how many fires there are. Contact Mitch 541-505-4199
