Have you found a stray dog or cat? Are you unsure who to contact or what to do? We are here to help! The Columbus Humane Society is a nonprofit, NO-KILL rescue organization that services Columbus County and beyond. We do not have a shelter facility, instead we have Foster "parents" who house the animals in their homes until we can find a forever family for the animal. We will cover vet bills, spay/neuter and put their photos up on Petfinder. Local county animal control will euthanize (kill) healthy adoptable animals if they are at capacity, and the animals often get exposed to kennel cough and other diseases at these overcrowded facilities. Please contact the Columbus Humane Society and we can help you find a solution to any animal you find, and it will always be a NO KILL, humane option.
