Overview: This is a Union Position**** This is an entry level position that is responsible for ensuring the proper materials for each machine are prepared and do not run out during the manufacturing of our product. These team members will train with an incumbent worker on key job tasks as well as learn the culture of Porex. Material Handlers will develop and promote into Operator and Fixer positions. Job Duties: Moves material using forklift Transports raw material to machines on the production floor Loads and unloads raw material items onto the processing machines Hand packs finished goods for shipment Housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping, dumping trash Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred Manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good communication (verbal and written) Ability to understand shop mathematics (fractions, measurements, basic calculations) Ability to use tools (measuring tools, forklift, pallet jack, rollers, strap cutters, etc.)
