Carpenter Responsibilities: Supervise carpenters, laborers and subcontractors. Layout of framing, concrete, and finish carpentry plus material quantity take-offs. Attend weekly site meetings, code time, and maintain a daily log of site activity. Manage project schedules and work with Project Managers to manage budgets. Maintain a clean and safe jobsite – SAFETY is a priority. All work related to residential and light commercial construction. This includes, but is not limited to, framing of floors, walls, and roof systems, finish carpentry, window and door installation, hardware installation, and demolition. Carpenter Requirements: Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Familiarity with common construction means and methods. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Owners, Architects, Laborers, Carpenters, Subcontractors, and Project Managers. Proficiency with company software (Excel, Word, T-Sheets, smartphones, email, etc.) Own common tools associated with Carpentry (list of tool requirements is available upon request). Familiarity with local building codes. A commitment to safety. Must have valid driver license and have access to reliable transportation. Be at least 18 years of age. Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks in all types of weather. Employees must be punctual, reliable, and maintain a professional appearance.
