COMPANY DESCRIPTION Autonomy Farms was established in 2013 and is a boutique sustainable ranching operation that focuses on raising natural and organic meats that are sold to specialty outlets and direct to consumer. We are looking for a ranch hand / farm hand to help with every day tasks. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Oversee grow out of the meat birds through the lifecycle, which includes, but is not limited to: brooding, transition into field, gathering for processing, processing/slaughtering - General farm maintenance and labor - Deliveries of orders to customers as needed (utilizing company truck/van) - Delivering to farmers markets as needed (utilizing company truck/van) - Transportation of chickens to/from slaughterhouses as needed (utilizing company truck/van) JOB SKILLS - Minimum three years of relevant work experience - A Class C drivers license with no prior DUI/DWI or suspension - Bilingual a plus, but MUST speak fluent English - Be able to lift 50lbs - The ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time and working outside for long hours - Be comfortable with on premise slaughtering of animals and participating in the slaughtering - Direct or assist with the adjustment or repair of farm equipment or machinery. - General carpentry skills - Maintain a high level of cleanliness in all work areas. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This is an hourly position with a minimum of 40 hours per week, year round $14-$16 per hour based on experience The work schedule is Tuesday-Saturday with hours varying by season.
