I absolutely hate having to do this but I am having to rehome my best friend. He is a 3-5 year old dachshund. I have put a lot of work and training into this little guy in the last 6 months but he is terrified of men my boyfriend in particular. Now before you message me about its the boyfriend or how the dog has a sense, I promise that is not it. We have tried giving him time to adjust, given him treats when he approaches the BF, I have stayed back so my BF can take the lead. In the last 6 months however I have crate trained him, he's now house broken, great recall, he's now comfortable playing with other dachshunds. He avoids my cats and is still scared of other bigger dogs. The only place I don't take him is work, he loves car rides and pup cups. He's great at public events and crowds he'll just stay close to his person and ignore most people. There will be a rehoming fee but if that's your only concern don't contact me, he deserves the best home he can get where it's only women or someone who's experienced with fearful dogs
