Description

DACULA, GA – July 4 events across the country will not look the same in 2020, thanks to the coronavirus. Many localities have been forced to cancel Fourth of July events, but several Gwinnett towns are taking a different tack: They're postponing them. Sugar Hill has postponed its Sparks In the Park until Aug. 1, and Snellville has pushed its Star Spangled Snellville back to Sept. 5. Lilburn also has postponed Sparkle In the Park but has not set a new date. Lawrenceville is pushing its fireworks all the way back to Sept. 11 and essentially rebranding them to celebrate the anticipated completion of Lawrenceville Lawn. Others events have been cancelled outright and not rescheduled, including fireworks at The Mall of Georgia in Buford, as well as city-sponsored fireworks in Duluth and Suwanee Due to the pandemic, localities may adjust or cancel events at the last minute. Check your event before you go. Know of other events in the area? Post them on the Patch calendar or share details on our free Neighbor Post feature.
