More details about our work, available positions, and instructions to apply at: www.farmerstoyou.com/careers Pick and Pack Lead Position overview: The Pick & Pack Crew Lead oversees the people and processes that come together to fulfil weekly orders at our Food Hub in Middlesex, VT. They are a systems thinker whose role is to lead and support our pick staff and to create an efficient yet community-focused workplace. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: *Manage the Pick & Pack Crew *Lead our collaborative system of packing orders *Delegate and oversee our various Department Receivers *Schedule our Pick Rotation *Monitor all shorts, quality issues, late adds, and substitutions *Define and monitor pick metrics *Work with other Leads and Managers *Serve on and lead our Pick Training Committee Essential Skills & Qualifications *Comfort and confidence in managing a team, including giving constructive feedback *Ability to structure processes and policies to clearly communicate responsibilities *Strong verbal and written communication skills *Desire to learn and grow alongside team members and peers *Ability to balance efficiency and quality in a production environment *Interest in sustainable farming and food systems a plus Employment Details: *FT Position, ~30hrs/wk *Mon-Wed required on site, Thurs or Fri hours TBD
