Candy and Covid

Description

I bought a bag of candy bars and keep them in my kitchen. Not for me, but for my 3 precious grandchildren. They no longer live nearby. Their parents divorced last year. Both lost their jobs and their house due to Covid and moved into a rental that I paid for. They quietly divorced and my son moved to Lenexa, Ks to live with his older brother. My ex-daughter in law moved to Arlington, Tx to live with her parents. I called them yesterday and her parents said their daughter and the kids moved to Tampa, Fl to live with some guy she met on the internet. They tried to stop her with no success. I don't want to accept the notion that I may never see them again. So I'll keep that bag of candy unopened. In case the grand-kids come by to visit someday.
