This is a great way to start a career in manufacturing that can grow in many different ways. As a Production Operator, you’ll see a product’s transformation from individual ingredients to finished product. You’re the one behind the scenes making it possible for us to ensure top quality of Kerry products. As an entry level role, this is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the food manufacturing industry! If you’re active, this is the role for you because you’ll use your hustle for lifting and transporting bags of up to 50lbs of dry ingredients and stacking the bags onto pallets. If you have good communication skills and enjoy working with a team, we may be the place for you! *Significant Bonus paid! $2,000: Paid at $1,000 at 30 days & $1,000 at 90 days on the job.* · 1st Shift Starting Pay: $16/hr. · 2nd Shift Starting Pay: $17/hr. plus $1.00/hr. shift differential. · 3rd Shift Starting Pay: $17/hr. plus $1.50/hr. shift differential. Here's When You'll Work: · 3rd Shift: 10:30PM - 6:30AM Monday through Friday · There is availability for overtime and sometimes we'll need you to work on the weekends. Where You'll Work: · We are located at 400 Prairie Village Drive New Century, Kansas 66031-1123 Here's What Production Operators Do: · Opens boxes of raw material (food ingredients!) and manually dumps contents into pan using scoop or dispenser. · Adjust controls as needed to ensure quality production. · May operate a HMI to set times and spray coatings. · Manually measures and blends product according to SOPs and MOs. · Inspects product to ensure that is made according to specifications. · Reads production schedules to determine production needs/goals. · Documents number of units, size, weight, and type of products made and amount of rework produced or reused. · Performs all duties in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP requirements. · Adheres to uniform requirements and company Personal Protection Equipment requirements (we provide your uniform & PPE!). · Assembles packaging boxes, reads electronics scales and packages to complete blended product. · Works with QA department to provide necessary samples at prescribed times. Makes necessary adjustments to product based on feedback. · Uses basic math skills, including fractions, to calculate quantities of ingredients needed for partial batches. · Accurately weighs and measures ingredients for use in blends. · Maintains accurate paper records of the quantities of ingredients added to batches. · Stages all required materials for pending panning/blending in advance of shift change. · Ensures that all lines have a smooth transition to oncoming shift. · Ensures that all bag waste is disposed of or recycled as required. - Ensures that all raw materials staged at the beginning of shift match to specs. - Ensures all safety rules are adhered to; communicating issues or concerns that cannot be resolved by crew. What You Need to Be Successful: - High School Diploma - Be willing to work overtime when needed. - Be able to read, write and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence. - Be able to calculate simple math and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. - Be able to move up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
