SCARSDALE, NY — The voters in Scarsdale have chosen new village trustees. The election, which was delayed due to the new coronavirus pandemic, was held Tuesday. There were six candidates vying for three, two-year terms as village trustee. According to unofficial results from the village of Scarsdale, the Scarsdale Citizens' Nonpartisan Party swept the election. Incumbents Justin Arest and Lean Crandall will be returning to office, along with Randall Whitestone. The vote tally was: Justin Arest, incumbent, Scarsdale Citizens' Nonpartisan Party: 1,294Robert J. Berg, Voters Choice Party: 635Sean J. Cohen, Voters Choice Party: 598Lean Crandall, incumbent, Scarsdale Citizens' Nonpartisan Party: 1,310Robert D. Selvaggio, Voters Choice Party: 614Randall Whitestone, Scarsdale Citizens' Nonpartisan Party: 1,271 Incumbent village Justice Joaquin Alemany ran unopposed for re-election. There were 10 write-in votes which will not be tallied until the Westchester County Board of Election counts them from the machines which were loaned to the village for the election.
