Where You'll Work: We are located at 400 Prairie Village Drive New Century, Kansas 66031-1123 Schedule: - Monday- Friday 10pm-6:30am at least 1 weekend per month. - This role requires one to be flexible to train on the 1st shift for at least one week prior to working alone. What You'll Do: As a Maintenance Technician, you will work with the maintenance manager to complete building repairs, equipment installation, troubleshooting and installation, fulfillment of assigned work orders and unforeseen repairs in a timely fashion. You’ll follow good manufacturing practices to maintain inventory, complete preventative maintenance, good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations. Attention to detail is necessary for completing inventory and shift notes. We strongly believe in always quality and safety first, for our employees, products, and customers. Important areas of work operations (but are not limited to): - Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery - Troubleshoot and repair machinery such as extruders, mixers, conveyors, and metal detectors - Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic steam, pneumatic equipment - Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment - Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep - Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise What You'll Need to be Successful and Safe: - High School Diploma or equivalent – Technical degree in maintenance related field preferred - 2 years minimum experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic in food/beverage/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with the ability to troubleshoot - Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Sanitation and Safety standards for food manufacturing PLC experience preferred - Experienced and ability to use all types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools - Experienced in high-speed packaging, welding, refrigeration (ammonia) and mechanical power transmission APPLY TODAY AT Kerry is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
