Summit New Jersey’s bi-annual free Repair Cafe event is seeking volunteers to repair items on March 19, 2022. This four hour event (time range yet to be determined) comprises various repair services as a free community event. Residents of all towns are welcome to have their items for free of charge with optional donation available. If you’re handy, have a specific skill and would like to give back to the community we’d love to hear from you! Volunteers needed in the following categories: - Bicycle tune-up and repair - Jewelry repair, fixing clasps, restringing beads Summit’s Repair Cafe events are in association with Repair Cafe Garden State (RCGS). RCGS way to unite all Repair Cafe events across New Jersey. Their mission is to spread the knowledge acquired through all of the New Jersey repair events, and to inspire others to start Repair Cafes of their own.
