Gigging band looking for synth/piano player

Meets

New York City NY

Description

We're a LES trio of violin, guitar and drums in the vein of the White Stripes/Vampire Weekend, incorporating classical and jazz elements. We're looking for a synth/piano player. Our former keyboardist just left the city sadly. We're a band that really appreciates gender/racial/intl diversity and celebrate that. We just played a few paying NYC gigs this winter, including headlining at the Knitting Factory. Our music is influenced by indie, punk, rockabilly, pop, classical, jazz, blues, sometimes all within a single song. We have an album of material already written but would love to collaborate on synth parts. Specifically, we're looking for someone who reads music, as most of our songs already have a piano part written. Our violinist is classically trained and we'd love some classical/jazz influence. Backing vocals and occasional lead vocals would be very encouraged. Here are a few vids from a recent show this month (this was without a drummer, but we usually perform with a drummer): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCgne2jjShiJubD9PH-5G8IdRp-PQb8Ix And here's an album with more rock and roll inspired songs; https://rockpops.bandcamp.com/album/reverb-drenched-sunset-beach We're in our late 20s/mid 30s, have a mix of male and female band members, and are fully vaccinated. We've been in bands that have toured and played for hundreds of people around the country and internationally. This band plans on performing in NYC mostly.
