TEMPE, AZ — Tempe police are investigating after a body washed up on the north shore of Tempe Town Lake Monday morning. According to Tempe Police Spokesperson Detective Natalie Barela, officers responded to reports of a body in the water around 8:50 a.m. "With the assistance from Tempe Fire Medical Rescue, a deceased male was recovered from lake," she told Patch. "This remains an ongoing investigation." No other details, including cause of death or the man's identity, were immediately available.
