Description

TEMPE, AZ — The city of Tempe is asking the public for feedback regarding improvements to the Tempe Community Center Campus. Tempe has put out a survey to help determine a plan for the community center for the next 30 years. The campus currently houses the Tempe Public Library, Tempe History Museum, Edna Vihel Arts Center and the Pyle Recreation Center. The plan will include recommendations for how best to use the space, to make it more connected for pedestrians, enhance its visibility and make environmental improvements. It will also determine if there's space available to expand Tempe's Human Services Department, which helps people with short-term emergency need. The plan includes changes like relocating the pottery studio and creating an open park space filled with greenery, among others. The deadline for the survey, which can be found online, is Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. The city has received 181 responses so far.
