Read on for the original post; currently we are in need of horn players (alto, tenor, trumpet, bone); percussion and keys are encouraged to get in touch. There are literally 20+ other degreed players involved. I'm a degreed percussionist/drummer and have a group playing our pick of Yellowjackets, Progger, Pat Metheney, Oz Noy, Chick Corea, Snarky Puppy, Ghost Note, Funky Knuckles, and straight-ahead and latin gooves... solid jazz fusion and skunk funk. We have a rehearsal space with amps, piano, PA and fresh-roasted coffee for practices. Looking to play out when we can but mostly driven by the joy of playing these killer cuts. IF YOU PLAY ALTO, SYNTH, TRUMPET or TENOR and are into these jams, PLEASE CONTACT ME. We have professional charts from these groups in hand and are building our library and set lists and taking input on additional tunes/artists from the players. The concept is more of a collective of players so several of each instrument, all that read. With this, if one of our players has another gig, it won't prevent the group from accepting a job or rehearsing and we can play out more (although, again, that isn't the main goal). We won't rehearse endlessly given the reading ability in the group. Charts are provided well in advance of rehearsals and we're scheduling them now.
