"Brews for Rescues" is a beer fest that supports a local dog rescue - truly a cause for paws! You can even bring your well behaved dog! Pagosa Fun! and Rugby’s Rescue House, a local dog rescue, (www.rugbysrescue.com) would like to invite you to an exciting new event! We are hosting the Inaugural “Brews for Rescues" beer fest, SW Colorado’s first Dog-centric beer fest that is just as much for your dog as it is for you! On Saturday, April 23, 2022, the region’s favorite breweries will come to Pagosa Springs, Colorado to showcase some of their best craft-beer and raise money for Rugby’s Rescue House, an amazing non-profit organization. Enjoy selections from Ska, Eddyline, Lauter Hause, Second Street Brewing, Marble and many more. Rugby's Rescue is a small non-profit rescue dedicated to "Rescuing, Saving, and Repeating" the process. Their main focus is rescuing dogs from surrounding Native American Reservations, where the growing dog population has been a big problem. The funds raised at the event go towards shelter, food, spay an neuter clinics, medication, treatments, and much more. The event will be hosted at Yamaguchi Park in Pagosa Springs, CO along the San Juan River with sweeping views of the San Juan Mountains. The day starts in the morning with a fun run with your dog. After the fun run there will be a dog costume contest for anyone interested. After the costume contest there will be dog training demonstrations. Rugby’s Rescue House will also have dogs and puppies available for adoption. This is really a day for the dogs! The beer tasting will take place from 2-5 pm. We will have beer vendors as well as vendors providing fun stuff for your pooch – toys, food, treats etc... You may even bring your well behaved dog with you to the beer tasting. What better way to spend the day than with your best friend having a beer! We have a 4000 sq. foot tent, so this is a rain (snow)/shine event! The beer tasting portion of the day is 21+ only. Pagosa Fun! is a local organization that collaborates with local non-profit organizations and promotes, organizes, and supports a variety of events for locals and visitors - from live music, beer and wine fests, athletic/adventure such as trail runs, 5k, 10k, 1/2 marathons, volleyball tournaments and other fun events in the Pagosa Springs area
