FORSYTH COUNTY, GA – There are a total of 344 confirmed coronavirus cases in Forsyth County as of Tuesday, according to the Georgia Department of Health. There have been a total of 10 coronavirus-related deaths in the county as of Tuesday, with 45 hospitalizations. According to the data, there are approximately 136 cases per every 100,000 people in the county. The Georgia Department of Community Health has also released a report showing the number of COVID-19 cases in nursing homes and long-term care facilities in the county. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the new coronavirus. As of Tuesday morning, there have been 29,499 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, 5,564 hospitalized patients and 1,298 deaths in the state, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health. Most of the top 10 counties with the highest number of coronavirus cases and deaths are in the metro Atlanta area, with Fulton County still first for cases with 3,063 cases and 129 deaths. Dougherty County has 1,543 cases, but has the second-highest number of deaths at 125. According to the Johns Hopkins University of Medicine, there have been more than 1,180,000 confirmed coronavirus cases in the United States, with nearly 69,000 deaths. More than 187,000 have recovered in the U.S. Worldwide, there are more than 3.6 million cases and 252,000 deaths.
