TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull is set to receive $1.09 million from the federal Transportation Alternatives Program for improvements to the town's section of the Pequonnock River Trail, reported the Trumbull Times.
The multi-use trail runs 16 miles through the Pequonnock River Valley from Bridgeport through Trumbull and Monroe.
The Transportation Alternatives Program is under the direction of the Federal Highway Administration under the U.S. Department of Transportation, and the funding will be used for additional parking, crosswalks and other improvements.
