David Garlock spent nearly 14 years in prison and is now a criminal justice reform advocate. He grew up in a very dysfunctional family — alcoholism, domestic violence and poor parenting leading to sexual and physical abuse followed by murder and years in prison. The Center for Public Service & Community's vitalvoices' presents "From Trauma to Prison Pipeline: The Chapters of My Life" featuring Garlock's unique story, an in-depth conversation about the "criminal legal system", abuse, special populations, reentry, restorative justice and the power of resilience and redemption.
