Description
Hello Friends and Neighbors,
My name is Francis, and I am a Boy Scout in Troop 306. I am currently working on earning my Family Life merit badge. I am organizing and collecting diapers and diaper wipes for families in need for the St. Gabriel Aid Food Pantry. Please consider purchasing and donating diapers and wipes or giving a monetary donation to help purchase diapers for families in need.
With gratitude,
Francis
Diapers are as essential to a child's basic needs as food and shelter. Yet, state and national safety net programs do not recognize diapers as a basic need.
THE CONSEQUENCES OF DIAPER NEED
Babies who remain too long in a soiled diaper are exposed to potential health risks. Most childcare centers, even free and subsidized facilities, require parents to provide a day’s supply of disposable diapers. Many parents cannot go to work or school if they can’t leave their babies at childcare.
St. Gabriel Food Aid Pantry is always seeking diaper donations but is currently experiencing a high demand for diapers sizes 4, 5, & 6, diaper wipes, and adult diapers, sizes L, and XL. All diaper donations are welcome!
Simply purchase your diaper donations and leave them in the covered bin on the Front Porch of the Church House at Catonsville Presbyterian Church at 1400 Frederick Rd. Catonsville MD 21228. Donations will be collected all through the month of February 2022.
If you would like to support Francis’s diaper drive with a monetary donation, please make your check out to: St. Gabriel Catholic Church, with Diaper Drive/Pantry on the memo line. Checks can be mailed to 6950 Dogwood Rd. Windsor Mill MD 21244.
