Here are the top three stories in Charleston today: Free groceries were handed out at several locations across Charleston this weekend. The food distribution events were facilitated by the Community Resource Center and several local churches they partnered with. The giveaways started at noon on Saturday and aided those with food insecurity. (WTMA)Plans for a Charleston sea wall might get more time for city review. According to a Charleston official, the City Council will likely approve a time extension for the nine-mile sea wall to be researched more thoroughly by the Army Corps of Engineers. The additional time will likely be used to find ways to integrate the wall with other projects aimed at solving the flooding problems that Charleston faces. (The State)The Charleston Metro Chamber Of Commerce is hosting a mobile blood draw competition. The blood draw comes at a time when the country has been facing record blood shortages.
