CONCORD, NH — A hatchback nearly flipped over when its driver took evasive action to avoid another vehicle on North State Street on Saturday. A Concord police officer, on patrol on North State Street, came across a blue Hyundai hatchback, on top of a snowbank, at a deep angle, at around 3:30 p.m. The officer said the driver was stuck in the vehicle and the hatchback looked like it was going to flip. The driver, they added, was not injured. Capital region dispatch sent fire and rescue teams. At first, police diverted northbound traffic from Foster Street around the scene. Later, they moved traffic from Rumford Street around the scene. "There's one vehicle, well up on the snowbank, at a pretty good angle," a firefighter told dispatch when they arrived. "We'll be investigating." After about 15 minutes, the driver was able to get out of the vehicle and was confirmed not to be injured. The vehicle was propped up with a stabilizer until a tow truck could arrive to remove the vehicle. An officer said the driver took "evasive action" to avoid another vehicle which caused them to drive up onto the snowbank. Got a news tip? Send it to [email protected].
