This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is between jobs, waiting for the perfect full-time job, or is interested in gaining veterinary technical skills to get a foot in the door of the veterinary medical field. Many of our veterinary technicians trained by us go on to work in larger full-service hospitals. Priority will be given to applicants that have experience working with animals, and a strong background working with small teams. We will train. Duties include animal handling for exams, assisting during procedures, working with pet owners at the beginning and end of day, and set-up and end of day cleaning. The job is physically demanding, and requires long days being on your feet, lifting up to 40lbs (of dog), and frequent squatting or bending over. Hours are 7-5:30. Pay is very competitive.
