Drummer needed for Funk/Dance band

Description
Hello, I'm starting a funk/dance band to play originals already released, originals that are written that I would love to produce with a live band, and some tasty covers. My goal is to get into a monthly gig at a Goodfoot type venue that supports funky dance music. For the time being I do not have touring aspirations. We won't leave the region unless our reputation proceeds us. Since I already have a lot of published material the focus will be on mostly getting a set ready and playing out. I am networked with a few bands in town and could easily land gigs to get started once we are ready. There will definitely be extended jamming sessions live once we establish a tight, rock solid groove that we can fall back into without having to think about it. During the jams/solos you will have a lot of room to create spontaneous grooves with the bassist and take solos as well. Also once we have the tunes down I don't really care if you wanna pop off on turn arounds and fills as long as it suits the pocket. I play leads on keytar and sing. I have been lucky enough to find great keys and guitar. I also have an excellent bassist I've known for a while who likes what I want to do and likes my music but wants to see what type groove/energy is created by whatever drummer I find before they really commit. We are all pretty chill personalities who just wanna make some really fun, rhythm focused music. Theres a lot of straight ahead music in this town so this is a great chance to play with musicians who want to keep it funky, swinging and groovy! I don't think any of us are gonna need an extended period of rehearsing before we are gig ready. I don't really have the time or desire to rehearse forever so this won't be a rehearsal tar pit that never actualizes into gigs. My goal is to schedule our first gig in May. I prefer to find a bandmate who wants to be part of a project rather than a hired gun. However, drummers are sparse right now it seems and I don't have forever to wait so I'm willing to work with a hired gun too. I have a kit in my basement so you won't have haul gear either! I love drums, I'm taking drum lessons right now and having a blast with them. Hit me up if you're interested or have any questions and I will send you some of my music. Thanks and have a great day!
