I am looking for an assistant to help me with my dog grooming business. No experience necessary but of course is a plus. I’m looking for someone who is self motivated, a hard worker, can listen and follow directions well, friendly, gets along well with co workers, dogs, and clients, who can take initiative, can stay focused, and who has a drive for success. Duties include but not limited to: -bathing, drying, and brushing out dogs -prepping dogs for haircuts -helping check dogs in and out of shop -cleaning facility; laundry, kennels, vacuuming, general shop maintenance etc -answering calls and scheduling appointments Hours of business are Monday Tues Thurs and Fridays, usually 9:00- 6:00ish (closing can vary from day to day) weekends off! This is a fast pace job, one you won’t be staring at the clock waiting for the time to pass, which i personally find is a plus. It is very physical work (must be able to lift 50 lbs) and is not for the squeamish (cleaning up dog accidents, dealing with pest on dogs, dog hair etc) one thing that can be overlooked is not every dog is cooperative, there are a select few that can be aggressive but most of our clients are very sweet. Must have a love for animals and a patient kind nature towards them. Through the hard work this is a very fun and rewarding job. We get to hang with dogs all day and don’t need to stress about a stuffy or cooperate feel. A pleasant work environment is very important to me and i strive to uphold that. Training in grooming is a definite possibility for the right fit, its a very lucrative trade that does not require a college education.
