5 Year old black lab x pit mix, spayed & microchipped, fully house trained, crate trained, very obedient on and off leash, absolutely LOVES people, great with kids, other dogs, and inside cats. (She likes to chase the outside cats, although has never injured or attempted to injure them.) She enjoys car rides, her favorite thing in life is playing fetch, and she lives to eat, and will happily devour anything you give her. Not food aggressive, either. She really, really has a drive to chase deer. It's the only thing that causes her to jump/climb/charge through fencing, and unfortunately creating a safety issue for her and problems with the neighbors... Which is creating further safety concerns for her. Aside from deer, she really is a well behaved dog who just wants to spend time with her people, doing whatever you're doing, from lounging on the couch to hitting the trails (she was very, very obese when we first met, and probably still needs conditioning to partake in long/strenuous runs, but she's at a much better weight now). Would like to find her a great home here soon, as she's currently spending way too much time in her kennel due to my work schedule and her obsession with chasing after the deer if she's allowed to go out unattended. Needs to go to a home where she's an inside dog, she does not grow a suitable winter coat and it would break her heart to be out on a chain or run all the time away from her people.
