FULL TIME CHILDCARE in our west chester home

Description

I've noticed a serious need for childcare in the recent year and the costs seem to have increased as well, making it less affordable for families. Waiting lists at daycares and closings due to covid have put quite a strain on families. I've decided to start offering childcare services out of our East Goshen home starting now. I will take 3 kids until the end of the school year (mid-June, but open to discuss longer if needed) and starting next August/Sept I plan to be certified as an in-home licensed provider and will take up to 6 children (at the most). The schedule I am offering will be from 8:30AM-5PM. If you need earlier care please message me and we can try to work it out. I am not able to go after 5PM due to our sport's schedules. If you're a teacher and need earlier care and can pick up earlier I would be interested in that as well. I have 3 daughters ages 18, 12 and 9 who are all in school. My oldest is heading off to college next year while my 12 year old is at Fugett and my youngest at East Goshen. I'm a believer in "free range" play as a form of healthy education and interaction. I am very structured though when it comes to basic manners and appropriate behavior. Kindness and empathy are always number one in our home. We will do fun activities and educational crafts but this is more like sending your kids to their "Aunt's" house and not a school with a curriculum.. You will always pick up a very happy and healthy child at the end of the day! When I did childcare in our home in NJ while my kids were younger, the parents stayed with me for years until their kids were ready for kindergarten. They never wanted to leave with their parents and begged to come every day. They were simply extensions of our family. We live behind the CVS off of Paoli Pike in Wentworth. We have a great sized yard with a playset and trampoline. We plan to get more play things for next year and potentially fence in the yard as well. I like to spend time outside as much as possible (within reason of course) because I think fresh air is the best thing for a healthy child. We also have a very large finished basement which is very kid friendly with plenty of toys and options of play. I offer snacks and drinks (organic fruits and juices/milk) and we will also spend time baking and cooking together. I prefer you bring your child with a packed lunch please. I am experienced with all ages from infant to toddler in potty training. I have cared for autistic children and helped them dramatically with eating issues and other sensory issues. I can cater to the individual, as I think any sort of childcare should. We do not require masks and I would prefer to not have to ask your child to wear one. I am not "anti-mask" but I am not policing it, so you would have to be OK with not wearing a mask. We are a pet friendly home with 3 cats who are all super sweet and keep to themselves when anyone is here. I keep the house clean but if you have an allergy issues this may not be the right fit. I have not received my vaccine due to personal reasons but my husband has and my oldest daughter has. Our younger 2 children have not, so we are a mixed house. I am charging $375/week or $1500/month. I asked to be paid at the beginning of the month for that month. There are no contracts so you are free to leave at anytime. You will not receive a refund for the month you paid for, but you will not be on the hook after that like most daycares. A little bit about my family, we have been in the restaurant business for over 25 years. We currently own a very successful restaurant in NJ where my husband spends most of his time. I am no longer interested in commuting and am ready to make a lateral move out of that business which is why I decided to do this. I am considering opening up a brick and mortal daycare in the future but wanted to start here to see if that was really what I wanted to do. I hope that helps answer any questions you may have! Please feel free to message me with any questions. Thanks!
