I have a gorgeous male 2-yr old mixed Maine Coon cat for adoption. He is half Maine Coon.
I have raised him since he was a kitten. He is neutered and he got all the typical shots new kittens get.
He is a total sweetheart. He loves to be petted and brushed, and to play. He is not a lap cat but will follow you around the house and generally likes to be in the same room, sitting close by. He usually sleeps on the foot of my bed. His fur is extremely soft. He trills and makes other sounds that Maine Coons make.
I have made the very difficult decision to rehome him because he needs more attention than I can give him as someone who works. As he has gotten older he has started to need more attention (cuddles, play time, interaction). I am often away all day, and when I do telework he cries for attention that I cannot give him throughout the day. He needs someone who can interact with him extensively throughout the day. The ideal home for him would be with a younger retired couple or a family with older children (high school or college only). Please only adopt him if you can truly give him extensive attention throughout the day. He has done really well with my other cat. It is unknown if he tollerates dogs, but he does not like barking or loud noises. Please note that he does NOT like younger children and should NOT be rehomed with them. (He becomes very distressed and hides the whole time when children come to visit.) He would do best in a quiet, nurturing home.
I am asking a rehoming fee to make sure he goes to a really good home.
