German shepherd who is almost 3 years old. Some police training so he knows commands well. He is also very well house trained, and hardly barks unless you get him very excited. He needs a fair amount of exercise, he also loves to play tug of war and with various toys. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. I don’t know how he does with other pets, but the previous owner said he didn’t get along with the other German shepherd he also had which is why he got rid of him. When I first got him he was aggressive if I did certain things that he didn’t like (touching his belly, brushing him, sudden movements, and a few minor other things) he would growl and then walk away nothing ever came of it. After spending time with him he now lets me do most everything with him. He has been good with multiple people he didn’t know coming into my house, he is friendly towards everyone I just let them know not to play aggressively or touch his belly and if he does growl not to talk in a mean tone back to him but to turn your back and walk away or wait for him to stop. I wouldn’t advise that he goes to a house with small children, I’m not sure how he does with kids but one wrong movement from them and he will likely growl which would scare them. He has never tried to bite me or nip at me. If you do not know how to handle a somewhat aggressive dog this is not the dog for you. I’m getting rid of him because I don’t have the space that he needs right now or time to spend with him anymore.
