WELCOME BACK TO THE NEW KANSAS CITY MUSEUM! The Kansas City Museum is now open with certain COVID-19 safety measures in place. As part of KC Culture Cares (a coalition of Museums and Cultural Centers that promote best practices for keeping visitors, staff and volunteers safe), the Kansas City Museum staff is committed to ensuring that our patrons enjoy the amenities on offer while adhering to health/safety protocols that help stop the spread of COVID-19. Here is what you can expect: HOURS AND ADMISSON: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Closed Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. FREE TIMED ENTRY TICKETS WITH LIMITED CAPACITY ARE REQUIRED IN ADVANCE Museum capacity will be limited to allow for safe distancing. We encourage a FREE timed-entry ticket for each visitor. Printed copies of your tickets are not needed. We invite you to arrive at that start of your designated time slot and stay for the duration of your reservation. ENTRANCE AND CHECK IN Entry to the Kansas City Museum is at the SOUTH gate, off Gladstone Blvd., and at the SOUTWEST Gate, off Walrond Ave., for ADA needs and accommodations. Upon entry at the SOUTHWEST GATE, there is an accessible ramp and elevator lift for access to the front entrance of Corinthian Hall. Check-in will take place inside the museum. Street parking ONLY is available. For more information on ADA needs and accommodations, please contact us at 816.702.7700. SAFETY GUIDELINES Face covers are REQUIRED inside the museum. If you do not have a face cover, we will provide one. All visitors and staff are expected to maintain a distance of at least six feet from others to comply with safe distancing guidelines. Use of hand sanitizer and regular hand washing is strongly encouraged. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the building and all surfaces will be sanitized frequently. Wheelchairs and gallery chairs are available upon request. OPENING OCTOBER 21 Wisteria is a boutique located on the first floor of Corinthian Hall. Wisteria will offer a selection of jewelry, clothing, accessories, home décor, books, and more including small batch collections of items created by local and regional artists and designers who have been inspired by our city’s history and cultural heritage. COMING SOON: CAFÉ AT 3218 Café at 3218 located on the first floor of the museum is only open for ticketed culinary experiences. COMING SOON: ELIXIR, OUR SODA FOUNTAIN Elixir located in the lower level of the museum will reopen in early 2022. Elixir will offer a limited food and drink menu with ice cream and phosphates. Operating hours for Elixir coming soon. OTHER DETAILS By registering for a ticket, you agree to abide by our guidelines for visitation. There is a risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public location where people are present. You also agree that you are not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19: fever, cough, chills, and/or difficulty breathing. You are not aware of anyone in your party having COVID-19 or been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days. The Kansas City Museum reserves the right to refuse or revoke the admission of any visitor whose conduct violates these guidelines.
