SAGE Seminars Presents: Care of Native and Ornamental Grasses in the Sonoran Desert
Join the Pima Master Gardeners for a unique hands-on opportunity to learn more about growing ornamental grasses in the Sonoran Desert. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn all aspects of grass care including planting, trimming, cutting, and dividing. Participants will divide a selection of grasses alongside Master Gardeners. Everyone will go home with a grass of their choice as well as detailed handouts on growing grasses in the Sonoran Desert.
Please bring gardening gloves. All work will take place at table height (lifting/bending not required to participate). Workshop will take place in rain or shine. The fee for the workshop is non-refundable.
Pima County Master Gardeners are University trained volunteers who serve as community educators. They work with the UA Cooperative Extension to provide research based information on environmentally responsible gardening and landscaping to the public.
