Come Join Us on Monday, February 21st @ 3rd Planet Brewing Co. for a 5K raising funds for the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch! Event Details: WHAT: Running, walking, or riding a 5K race to raise money for the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch! WHEN: President's Day, Monday, February 21st Check-in: 2:30 – 3:30 pm Race Starts: 3:30 pm Race Ends: After last participant or NLT 5:00 pm START & FINISH LOCATION: 3rd Planet Brewing Co., 1400 E John Sims Pkwy, Niceville, FL 32578. 5K Loop run/walk/ride on a sidewalk running behind E. John Sims Parkway, North on Rocky Bayou Drive, through Rockywood Neighborhood and back. PURPOSE: To raise funds for the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch The Youth Ranches have provided summer camps and services for over 165,000 at-risk children and families in Florida. As of now the Sheriff’s Youth Ranches are no longer receiving funds from the federal government. Now they're relying on 95% privately funded donations. We intend to bridge that gap. COST: $120.00 (Minimum) We're asking each participant to ask 5 people to sponsor them for $20 each. (Plus $20 of your own) WHY? Fundraising also spreads ideas and awareness! Tell people why you’re asking for sponsorship! Tell people about the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranches! Encourage others to support non-profits! Do you want to make it 10 people for $10 each, go for it! Want to ask a local business to sponsor you, go for it! Want to donate more, go for it! Want to fundraise without running, come cheer us on! PAYMENT: Please bring cash or checks written out to “The Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches” to the race and check-in. Tax Deduction forms will be emailed after registration & provided at the race. WHAT’S PROVIDED: -Attendance gift -Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place runners EXTRAS: Check-in – Please arrive early to turn in all registration fees. With a little bit of cash and a big dream, they pooled their wisdom and efforts and watched their dream become a reality. Within a short period of time, they were helping many young boys turn their lives around to become productive and responsible adults. Vision: To develop young men and women who, because of the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, are able to face the future with a sense of direction, ability and hope.
