Date Covered: 1/28-2/3/22 LINKS TO MAJOR CASES Chief Davis Releases Body-Worn Camera Footage from Officer-Involved Shooting Warrants Obtained for Former Burke Pastor SULLY DISTRICT STATION ROBBERY: 14391 Chantilly Crossing Lane (Target), 1/29/22, 3:39p.m. Two men entered the store and asked an employee to look at property behind a locked display case. As the employee was helping the men, they took the property by force and ran. No injuries were reported. Later that day, a 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old man, both from New York, were arrested in Loudoun County and charged with robbery. MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION No events to report. MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION STOLEN AUTO RECOVERY: George Washington Parkway at I495, 1/28/22, 2:03 p.m. An officer saw a 2021 Toyota Corolla that was reported stolen from a nearby jurisdiction. The officer stopped the vehicle, and a 19-year-old man from Maryland was arrested for Grand Larceny. LARCENY:1471 Chain Bridge Road (Village Eye Center), 2/1/22, 5:41 p.m. Four men entered a business, broke display cases, took property and fled the area in a white SUV. No injuries reported. MASON DISTRICT STATION ROBBERY: 2900 block of Patrick Henry Drive, 1/31/22, 2:44 p.m. The victim was approached in a parking lot by two men in a black car. The two men got out of the car, produced a handgun, took property, and fled the area. No injuries were reported. RECKLESS DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM: 4200 block of Wadsworth Court, 1/29/22, 7 p.m. Several community members reported hearing gunfire and witnessing a man leaving the area on foot. Officers quickly found the man nearby, and he provided them with false information. The 27-year-old man from Maryland was arrested and charged with reckless handling of a firearm, false identification to law enforcement, illegal possession of a firearm, and resisting arrest. An outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge was also served on the man. ROBBERY: 6360 Seven Corners Circle (Giant), 1/30/22, 12:15 p.m. A man entered the business, produced a knife, and took merchandise. No injuries reported. ROBBERY: Willston Drive and John Marshall Drive, 2/1/22, 11:01 p.m. A man assaulted the victim, implied he had a firearm, and took property. No injuries were reported. RESTON DISTRICT STATION No events to report. FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION STOLEN VEHICLE/ CREDIT CARD FRAUD: 9000 block of Mooregate Court, 2/3/22, 7:30 a.m. The victim called police after noticing their 2017 Toyota RAV4 and 2016 Toyota Corolla were stolen from in front of their home. One of the vehicles had the victim's credit card inside which was used shortly after the theft. Officers found the stolen vehicles in a parking lot and took four juveniles into custody. Charges are pending for the juveniles.  WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION No events to report. FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION No events to report.
