Description
$300 rehoming fee to ensure the buyer is serious and is willing to give her a good home. Wrigley is a 13-month-old female boxer and very energetic. She is about 50lbs. Our living environment and work schedule make it difficult to give her the time, attention, and exercise necessary for her age and breed. She is highly intelligent but can be very stubborn too. She has a strong alpha personality. She needs someone that can be firm and consistent with her. She has had training with a private trainer and has learned a lot. We use a herm sprenger prong collar for walking and training as she is still young and learning. If used correctly she will walk at your side and not pull you on the lease. She loves going to the dog park and does well with other dogs there. She is good with kids (we have 2) but she is still hesitant with strangers as she is either overly excited or nervous to approach them. Due to Covid, as a baby she did not get a lot of socialization, so it will be good to introduce her to new environments. She still gets spooked from loud cars/noises. She is crate trained and house trained. She sleeps in her kennel at night or on the floor next to our bed. She stays in her crate when we are gone and likes to have the crate covered. Commands she knows; sit, stay, back, out, come, fetch, down, bed, leave it, off, kennel, heel, high five. She will lick you or push her snout into you when she needs to go potty. She will scratch behind her ear with her hind leg when she needs to use the washroom. We say "pick a spot" when taking her out to use the bathroom. She likes to be close to you and wiggles with excitement. She needs someone who has the time and patience to continue to work with her on her commands as she is still young. She eats well and is currently weening off puppy food to large-breed adult food. She is on Eukanuba and also likes Science Diet. She is not crazy about treats but is food motivated which helps with training. She loves chew toys and is an aggressive chewer; we suggest Kong. She is up to date on all her shots and spayed. Her next rabies and vaccines are due in March. She is microchipped (will provide card with number). She is purebred and in excellent health condition. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have and we will do our best to answer them. We just want her to go to a good home where she will get the time, attention, and affection she needs. Boxers crave relationships with their owners. She will be your shadow. Will provide her crate, toys, and remaining food and dishes.
