UA was also represented on the second team by senior forward Herbert Jones. Petty, a Huntsville native and product of Mae Jemison High School, started 28 games during his junior season, playing his way to a second team All-SEC selection under first-year head coach Nate Oats. During the 2019-2020 campaign, Petty averaged a career-best 14.5 points per game and led the conference in three-point percentage, ranking ninth nationally. Jones is a Greensboro native and Hale County High School graduate who will enter his last season for the Crimson Tide after a promising junior season that saw him named to the SEC All-Defensive Team. Last season, Jones average 7.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. Click here to see the full list of All-SEC Preseason Team selections.
