Here are the top five stories today in Raleigh: The North Carolina Supreme Court struck down the state's congressional and General Assembly maps. The decision was 4-3 along party lines and directs the legislature to redraw plans by February 18 with an explanation of how they calculated partisan fairness of new boundaries. (npr)The body camera footage of the confrontation along Interstate-440 that led to the death of Daniel Turcios was released on Friday. All footage is available for public viewing, and Raleigh Police released a summary video showing officers giving commands in English and Spanish, as well as the knife that officers reacted to. (WAVY)The Wake County Sheriff's Office was able to arrest a robbery suspect in less than an hour thanks to drones and K-9 teams. The team was called to a Dollar General on Benson Road near Garner when a victim said she was getting out of the car and a suspect, Jason Charles Roberts, demanded her keys. The woman refused and police were able to track down the suspect in 45 minutes. (CBS17)The North Carolina Department of Transportation will be closing the section of Athens Drive that bridges over the beltline. The closure will last a year in order for crews to demolish the existing bridge and replace it. Beryl Road will also close for around three weeks between Pylon Drive and Method Road due to a crane needing to position there to place girders. (CBS17)New data is showing that the temperature variance in Raleigh is a much wider variance than originally believed. In July of last year, volunteers began using heat sensors mounted on cars, bicycles, or in pockets to collect data about how warm areas of the city are. The data collected shows that the temperature variance is actually a margin of 9.6 degrees as opposed to the previous believe of a 6 degree variance.
