Dear Neighbors, This is Friday afternoon - April 16, 2020, around two o'clock. Yes, it's snowing. Everything's closed. Not much traffic. Plenty of time to walk, and think. As the U.S. surgeon general said, "This is our Pearl Harbor moment." "This is our 9/11 moment." We have to decide what to do next. It would be so lovely just to return to normal life... To have our streets filled again... To dine in restaurants... To go shopping... We just want this crisis to be over. But what did Americans do after Pearl Harbor? They found the courage to work together. They did what needed to be done. They were heroes. Now it's our turn -- yours and mine. And what do Michiganders know?
