I paid someone 10 times the going rate for work around my house. Instead of being grateful, they stole my entire laptop.... on camera..... and probably sold it to some other piece of trash. Little did they know, that the loss of my laptop isn't just about the value of the laptop itself. Not only can I not complete my payroll duties, but mine and my staffs' private data is now floating around out there and I can't even process my payroll or pay my mortgage this month. But the thing that really hurts the most is the fact that I have a mandatory legal deadline to meet this week. In about 6 days. And if I miss that deadline, my 9 year long running lawsuit will be forever barred. And that reality isn't going to just hurt me, but it will hurt hundreds of thousands of vulnerable Oregonians with disabilities as well, as its a case of first impression with a chilling and widespread effect. So I will pay $800 to anyone who returns it, no questions asked, but the hard drives must not be wiped and be fully in tact.
