Violinist will play gratis for one free gig with/for a working band/individual. Location: East Valley I play electric violin and I’ll play an unpaid gig or one recording for a WORKING band that will take a chance (and that I want to play with) So, if you're a working band with steady, paid gigs please read on. If your band is totally pro, you earn your living playing blues, funk, r&b, soul, hip-hop, neo-soul, ambient, house, r&b, jazz, swing, amapiano, bossa, choro, samba or forro, I would love to play with you, unpaid, for a gig just to have some fun and try and get myself out there and maybe get some regular paid gigs later. Corporate gig? Barmitzvah? Botanical Gardens? Whatever, I’ll do it, just cover the gas. I just want to play with some good musicians in a working situation. It will only add to your evening and it’ll be fun for me. And perhaps it’ll lead to something. I’ve been playing for a long time and I know my stuff. What I lack in fireworks I more than make up for with good ears and decent musical taste. I have equipment, I learn fast. I pick up on or create a groove immediately and can add to it on guitar or fretless bass. You won’t look bad, trust me. You will know within 15 seconds I’m for real. Who has time for bullshit? I’ve played violin since 1961, acoustic/electric violin since 1975, 5 string acoustic/electric violin since 2005, and currently a Yamaha 5 string, which is the best of the bunch. I’m happy with my sound and I appreciate playing with people who can play at volumes other than loud and very loud. Back in the day I worked in bands etc. I’ve travelled and played in a few countries. However, I’ve spent too long here without working. That’s what this is about.
